Career
- 22years as an entrepreneur
- 5companies founded
- 2exits
- 1NYSE IPO
I started my first business early and never stopped. In 22 years, I've been through every stage of a company: the first sale, scaling with institutional capital, going public, crisis and turnaround. Today I apply all of it to the hardest problem I've ever chosen to solve: the revenue cycle of Brazilian hospitals.
From zero to exit
Primordia was my first big bet. In three years, we built Brazil's first e-commerce SaaS for the fashion industry and reached 80% market share. In 2014, the company was acquired by VTEX.
From scale to IPO
I joined VTEX as an executive partner and spent the next seven years leading the consolidation of the Brazilian market, reporting directly to the global co-CEO. That meant 50% organic growth a year, the move from mid-market to enterprise, Series B and C rounds led by SoftBank, Tiger Global and Lone Pine Capital and, finally, the NYSE IPO at a US$ 3.7 billion valuation.
Crisis, turnaround and global operations
After the IPO, I kept building. I was an operating partner at Adventures, a startup with a R$ 50 million Series A backed by Provence Capital, Mercado Livre, Atmos, Navi and Arbor Capital. I led the turnaround of Infracommerce (BVMF: IFCM3), from Pátria Investimentos' entry to the sale to Geribá Investimentos. And I led the unification of sales and marketing at Deal Group, a technology company leading ISG's AI quadrant, with operations in Brazil, Europe, Africa and the United States.
Each cycle left a different layer: building from scratch, scaling with institutional capital, operating in crisis and executing in several countries at once.
Knowledge that circulates
Alongside that, I've always believed knowledge needs to circulate. I taught MBA courses at UNICAMP, FGV, ESPM, Impacta and FIAP, in e-commerce, go-to-market, cross-border and digital business. I've also advised startups on growth and sales, including Trinio, Retail Hub and portfolio companies of Confi, founded by Pedro Chiamulera, creator of ClearSale.
Now: Accrua
The most ambitious chapter began with Accrua, which I founded and lead as CEO. In recent years, I've immersed myself in Brazilian private healthcare: payer contracts, denials, auditing, the TISS standard and the path every claim takes between patient discharge and cash in the bank. It's a sector where hospitals deliver care today and wait more than 70 days to get paid, with part of their production contested on first review.
At Accrua, we combine AI-native technology, a team specialized in billing and auditing, and capital to take over hospitals' revenue cycle end to end. The writing on this page is part of that deep dive: what I'm learning, measuring and building for Brazilian private healthcare.
