Three patterns emerge:
- Timing. Since 2023, the congress has taken place in mid-October, on two consecutive days, Wednesday and Thursday.
- Venue. The Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo's south zone, hosted the last four editions.
- Immersive experience. Each recent edition featured a space for the audience to experience the care of the future: the hospital of the future in 2024, the Future Health Circuit in 2025 and the Conahp Territories in 2026.
When information is released
In 2026, Anahp announced the Scientific Committee chair in the first half of the year, and registration was open only to member hospital staff until June 15. For 2027, follow the congress website and Anahp news from the start of the year.
What themes should be at Conahp 2027
The 2026 debates already point to next year's agenda:
- The new government's first year and the health budget, flagged as an immediate issue for 2027.
- ANS regulation, with care pathways and prevention in the 2026–2028 Regulatory Agenda and the new rule on payer–provider contracts, discussed in Public Consultation 170/2026.
- Expanding private healthcare beyond a quarter of the population.
- Interoperability, data and AI, present on both days in 2026.
- Aging, workforce and mental health, which got their own stage in 2026.
